InvestLincoln — The Collective

Membership Terms

Last updated: September 2026

1. What membership is

Membership of The Collective is open by application to senior professionals, directors, business owners and leaders with a genuine stake in the Greater Lincoln area. When you apply, you tell us which of the entry criteria you meet; we take your application in good faith and review new members afterwards to keep The Collective what it is: a senior, trusted group of people who back the city.

2. The fee

Membership is £200a year, paid in advance by card through Stripe. InvestLincoln is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged. Your membership runs to the date shown on your dashboard and does not renew automatically — we will write to you before it ends. Founding Partners in LoveLincoln receive their first year of membership with our compliments, to 31 October 2027, and do not apply: the person named at purchase claims it, and the ordinary fee applies from then on. As members join in a business capacity, statutory cooling-off rights do not apply, and refunds are at our discretion.

3. It is a curated community

The Collective is deliberately kept as a group of people who can work well together. Like any private members’ organisation, membership may be declined, suspended or ended at any time, at our sole discretion, and we are not obliged to give a reason. We expect this to be rare — but it is the foundation that protects the quality of the room for everyone else.

4. What we expect of members

Be who you said you are in your application. Treat other members with professional respect, at events and online. The Collective is a place for genuine connection and collective effort, not for cold selling, canvassing or promotion of schemes — members who treat the directory or events as a prospect list will be asked to leave.

5. The Collective List

Members appear on the Collective List, our members’ directory, which is visible to members only. Your listing shows the professional details you provide in your application and profile.

6. If membership ends

If your membership is ended (by you or by us), you come off the Collective List and lose access to the members’ area and member event booking. Tickets you have already paid for will be honoured or refunded at our discretion.

7. Your data

We handle your details as described in our Privacy Policy. You can ask to leave, or to have your membership data removed, at any time by emailing hello@investlincoln.co.uk — we action removal requests promptly. Records of event payments are retained where we are legally required to keep them.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version always lives at this page.
